Fair Housing Legal Update

Instructor Annie Deprey Murphy will discuss recent court rulings on fair housing law. Topics of recent cases include:

• advertising,

• service animals,

• persons with mental illness, and

• discriminating against families.

She will also be discussing the latest HUD guidance and regulations, including the disparate impact burden-shifting test, the use of criminal records in screening tenants, and protections for victims of domestic violence.
