Welcome Charlotte McEwen!
Growing up in North Carolina, Charlotte attended University of North Carolina (go Heels!) where she graduated with distinction with a BA in public policy and environmental studies. Feeling the call of the west, after receiving her BA she moved to Steamboat Springs for a year of skiing. Charlotte then headed to law school at University of Michigan, where she was articles editor for the Journal of Law Reform and graduated cum laude. During her summers at U of M she interned in Colorado, solidifying her dream of living here as soon as possible. After an exciting year in Alaska, Charlotte made the long drive south to join us here at Dufford Waldeck.
While in Alaska, Charlotte clerked for Justice Peter J. Maassen on the Alaska Supreme Court in Anchorage. She worked on a wide variety of civil cases and spent her weekends enjoying the beautiful Alaskan outdoors. At Dufford Waldeck, she will continue to develop her litigation skills and pursue a general civil practice.
When not in the office, you can find Charlotte hiking or wandering through desert canyons and looking forward to ski season. Charlotte is eager to explore new outdoor recreation options available here in Grand Junction, along with her constant companion, a retired sled dog named Ashoka.
